According to the announcement of Iranian customs, in the first five months of 1402, the total of 2 million and 169 thousand tons of agricultural products worth one billion and 62 million dollars has been exported abroad under the tariff code of seasons 6 to 14.
During this period, the export of agricultural products decreased by 7.7% in terms of weight and increased by 10.14% in terms of value.
During this period, more than 61% of Iran's agricultural products were exported to the mentioned three countries.
The amounts of rice and wheat imports in the first five months of this year are as follow: During this period, 536 thousand tons of rice worth 632 million dollars has entered the country, which has decreased by 42.58% in terms of weight and 55.9% in terms of value. One million and 228 thousand tons of wheat with a value of 535 million dollars have entered the country, which decreased by 51.86% in terms of weight and 50.84% in terms of value.
The major trading partner countries importing agricultural products are as follow: In the first five months of this year, 1 billion and 531 million dollars of agricultural products were imported by the United Arab Emirates, 549 million dollars by the Russian Federation and 502 million dollars by India.
